Garin K. Arevian / Managing Director

Garin has 20 years of technology investment banking and M&A experience spanning a range of high growth industry sectors including SaaS, application software, architecture, engineering & construction (AEC) software, EdTech, GovTech, and healthcare information technology (HCIT), among others. Garin has extensive experience advising private equity, venture capital and founder-owned companies on a range of strategic M&A, majority and minority recapitalizations, and private placement transactions.

Representative transactions include the sale of ESO Solutions to Vista Equity Partners (pending); Routematch to Uber; Surgent to NexPhase Capital Partners; PTI Security Systems to HID Global; Intellectual Technologies to Arlington Capital Partners; Avitru to Deltek / Roper Technologies; NuPark to Passport Parking; Xpressdocs to Reynolds & Reynolds; WIRB to Arsenal Capital Partners; T2 Systems to Pamlico Capital; and Encore Discovery Solutions to EPIQ Systems.

Prior to Aeris Partners, Garin was a Managing Director at Piper Jaffray & Co. where he led the firm’s Vertical Market Technology practice. Previously, Garin was a Managing Director at MHT Partners, where he served as Co-Head of the Technology practice, and a senior member of the Harris Williams & Co. Technology, Media & Telecommunications practice, where he focused on software and technology-enabled services M&A. Garin began his investment banking career at Adams, Harkness & Hill (later Canaccord Genuity) in the technology practice and has additional client services experience with Fidelity Investments and Putnam Investments.

Garin received an MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and a B.A. in Economics and Government from Colby College.

Garin is an avid skier and enjoys watching his three sons play a variety of sports.

David has 25 years of experience and a distinguished M&A track record advising leading software, SaaS, business information, and technology-enabled services companies spanning a range of high growth application software and vertical sectors, including healthcare (HCIT), supply chain, workforce management, EdTech, FinTech, AEC/Construction, and human capital management (HCM), among others. David has advised leading private equity, venture capital, publicly-traded and founder-owned technology companies on domestic and cross-border strategic M&A, leveraged buyouts and growth equity recapitalizations.

Prior to founding Aeris Partners, David was recruited to launch and build the technology practice at Harris Williams & Co., where he served as Managing Director and Co-Head of technology investment banking, and as a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Previously, David was a Senior Vice President with Broadview International (later Jefferies Broadview) and a Manager with Accenture’s PeopleSoft practice. David co-founded and completed a 4,100 mile cross-country bicycling and fundraising event in support of cancer research, education and prevention and was recognized as a “40 under 40” investment banking professional by Investment Dealers’ Digest.

David received an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management as an Austin Scholar, and a BA in Economics/Accounting from the College of the Holy Cross.

David is an avid cyclist and skier.

Rahul Swani

Rahul Swani / Managing Director

Rahul has more than 15 years of technology M&A and consulting experience spanning numerous high growth industry sectors, including data and analytics, SaaS, software, EdTech, healthcare information technology (HCIT) and digital media. Rahul has extensive experience advising private equity, venture capital and founder-owned companies on a range of strategic M&A, divestiture and private placement transactions.

Before joining Aeris Partners, Rahul was a Vice President with the technology M&A practice at Harris Williams & Co., where he helped build the group and established its efforts in data and analytics. Previously, Rahul served as a Senior Consultant with Investor Group Services (IGS), where he provided strategic and market diligence advisory services to companies serving a broad range of industries, including technology and healthcare. He also worked as an Analyst with the Alternative Asset Fund of W.R. Huff & Co., and as an environmental economic policy research analyst.

Rahul received an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a B.A. in Economics and Environmental Studies from Tufts University.

Rahul is an avid traveler, skier and ‘foodie’.
